1) Enter the 13 digit number you were provided by the passport office on the Governments official website in the Consignment Number box.
2) Click the Search button to view your results.

The web page will process the data and indicate:
1) When your passport was submitted for delivery
2) When the passport was dispatched and the date it was received at various locations during the delivery process
3) When your passport was delivered and when a delivery notice was issued.

Delivery Status is only available for those passports submitted up to 60 days from the date of SMS inquiry.

What if your current address changes when the passport processing is underway? When the current address changes and your passport application is underway. You are supposed to immediately submit an application to the Regional Passport Office to update your current address. It’s important to carry with you address proof along with a request letter. The Regional Passport Office will then consider the facts.
In-case of emergencies only, Passports can be collected at the Regional Passport Office offices. Applicants are required to submit an application to the respective RPO giving the reason or the urgency. However, the final decision on the same lies with the concerned Regional Passport Officer
